2023 Season Highlights So Far

Unveiling the Wonders of Bushlife Safaris –
A Safari Adventure Like No Other!

Imagine being inches away from the magnificent kings of the African bush, witnessing herds of elephants crossing the river to the lush islands, and paddling through meandering waterways surrounded by breath-taking natural beauty. We have had an incredible season so far – here our camp manager, Sophie Philips, shares her 2023 season highlights so far:

Close Lion Encounters: Face-to-Face with Majesty: The thrill of an African safari lies in those electrifying moments when you’re face-to-face with some of the world’s most majestic creatures.

At Bushlife Safaris, our expert professional guides take you on a journey that can safely bring you within mere feet of lions.  These close lion encounters are more than just photo opportunities; they’re unforgettable experiences etched into your memory forever. Our guides’ expert knowledge ensures a safe and immersive experience, allowing you to appreciate the intricate details of lion behavior, their social dynamics, and the unique stories of the prides that call Mana Pools home.

Collaring the Famous Bulls of Mana Pools: A Conservation Milestone: At Bushlife Safaris we are known for our professional guiding, but also for our commitment to conservation. We have had the honour of collaring some of the famous elephant bulls of Mana Pools, including Boswell.

Collaring these elephants is not just a chance to see them up close, but it’s also a significant contribution to the ongoing conservation efforts in Mana Pools. Witnessing these gentle giants in their natural habitat while being part of their protection is an experience that goes beyond the usual safari adventure.

Elephants Crossing the River: A Natural Spectacle: Few sights in the animal kingdom are as awe-inspiring as a herd of elephants crossing a river. On our boat, you’ll have a front-row seat to this breathtaking spectacle. As you glide through the waters, you’ll watch in wonder as these massive creatures move gracefully across the Zambezi river to the lush islands of Mana Pools.

The tranquility of the river journey allows you to fully absorb the magic of the moment. Cameras at the ready, you’ll capture snapshots of a lifetime, all while learning about the unique behaviours and ecological importance of these incredible animals. It’s a memory that will stay with you forever.

Scenic Canoe Trips: Paddling through Paradise: For those seeking a new view of Mana Pools, our scenic afternoon canoe trips offer a different perspective! Paddle through meandering waterways, surrounded by pristine landscapes, abundant birdlife, and the soothing sounds of the African wilderness.

With every stroke of your paddle, you’ll connect with the tranquil rhythm of nature. It’s an opportunity to slow down, soak in the serenity, and witness the wonders of the wild, from vibrant bird species to crocodiles and hippos sunning themselves on the riverbanks.
